The Nagaland University in association with Indian Council of Social Science Research is organizing a National Multi-Disciplinary Seminar on “Migration and Regional Development in India” between March 12 and 13, 2015.


  1. International Migration in India: Pattern, routes, actions, reactions and issues.
  2. Interstate migration in India: causes and consequences
  3. Intrastate migration: Reasons, development and challenges.
  4. Migration and social well-being: Development and issues.
  5. Remittances in India: Welfare or Self-well-being ?
  6. Migration from North eastern region: Achievement, issues and implications.
  7. Any other issue related to the main theme

Inviting proposals: Submit an abstract of your paper with a minimum 400 words or maximum 500 words (excluding the title of paper and authors name address etc).

Your abstract should be typed with 12 font size, Times New Roman font type, 1.5 inter line space. Please send the full communication address, designation / engagement of the author(s), contact details (mobile no.) etc.

Indian Journal of Air and Space Law (IJASL) ISSN no. 2394-6091 is a bi-annual journal published by the Centre for Air and Space Law (CASL), NALSAR University of Law.

Guidelines for submission: Contributors willing to submit article to the IJASL should observe the following prescribed guidelines.

All contributions to the journal are peer reviewed by its expert advisory board subject to the editorial approval earned test of plagiarism.

Average score of borrowing or reproduction from foreign sources should not exceed 25%, including footnotes/bibliography.

Theme: ‘Air and Space Law’

Length of the Article: 3500- 5000 words: font size: 12; Times New Roman; Space: 1.5

Abstract for the Article: The article should be accompanied by an abstract of 250 to 300 words which should be placed at the beginning of the paper.

Commentary, Book Review or Short Notes on Contemporary Developments: Brief Commentary, Book Review or Short Notes relevant to subject matter of journal are invited, preferably within 1000 to 1500 words.

Call for Papers: National Seminar on Water Law and Policy in India

Submit by October 6, 2014

The Centre for Environment and Law, under the auspices of the National University of Advanced Legal Studies, proposes to organize a National seminar on Water Law and Policy in India, on 9th October 2014, for disseminating knowledge and awareness among various sections of the society. The importance of water in sustaining life and the environment makes water conservation a major objective of environmental law. The Centre for Environment and Law is aimed at propagating and promoting discourse in the realm of environment and related legal issues. The Centre aims to provide a platform for stakeholders to collaborate over and study various policy decisions which impact the environment.

Papers are invited from students of law colleges/law schools and universities to be presented in the seminar.

The topic of the seminar is “National Water Law and Policy in India”

The seminar focuses mainly on the following themes:

  • Introduction to Water Laws and Policies in India.
  • Dams: Temples of Modern India or Death-Knell of Human Rights
  • Resolving Inter-State Water Disputes- with special reference to Mullaperiyar Dam controversy.

Suggested session topics:

  • Dam or Doom: Human rights perspective on development
  • Mulaperiyar: The way forward
  • Need for Water Law Reforms
  • Role of government in Inter-State water disputes – A rethinking?

Submission Guidelines:

  • Submissions are to be made in electronic form only and are to be sent to
  • Each Article is expected to be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 500 words.
  • The word limit for articles is set at 3000 words (inclusive of footnotes).
  • Abstracts must be submitted on or before 26 September 2014 and articles must be submitted before 6 October 2014.
  • Submission must contain a covering letter indicating name of the author(s), institution, e-mail id & contact number.
  • By submitting an article, the author is presumed to undertake that the article is an original work and has not been submitted, accepted or published elsewhere.
  • Articles found plagiarised will be summarily rejected.
  • Co – authorship is allowed (maximum of 2 authors).

Formatting Guidelines:

  • All submissions must follow the Bluebook system of citation.

Call for Papers: Lex-Warrier: Online Law Journal

The Lex-Warrier: Online Law Journal (ISSN: 2319-8338) invites articles on any of the following themes for its January 2014 Issue;

  • Law of the Sea
  • Human Trafficking
  • Law of War/War Crimes

Word limit should be between 4,000-5,000 words containing a comprehensive study of the theme and is expected to engage with the theme comprehensively, examine literature comprehensively, and offer an innovative reassessment of the current understanding of that theme.


  • All submissions shall be in MS Word 2003 OR 2007 format only. The body of the contribution should be in Times New Roman, size 12 and in 1.5 spacing. The footnotes/end notes and references should be in Times New Roman, size 10 and in single spacing.

  • You must not cut copy and paste articles from anywhere (including your own articles published elsewhere on the internet.)
  • Submissions shall be made exclusively to The Lex-Warrier: Online Law Journal.
  • Be clear on what you are serving to the readers. Conceptual clarity is expected from the author.
